:(

Ahhh! I have been so busy since the new semester started. My " blog more" New Years Resolution has definitely been ignored. I need to start crafting too. I made a plushie but he needs a little repair. Then I'm going to start to knit more and learn how to crochet.

I'm also going to take more picture. I got some help with my camera and was able to adjust my shutter speed and the pictures aren't blurry any more and they're pretty! :)

I took this once I fixed the "inside picture problem". Our Valentine's decorations! :D
& Look at all the snow! We're supposed to be getting MORE later this week too. We already have like 2 feet.

I'll try to blog if we get a snow day. I'll finish up my plushie, take picture, and maybe post on etsy!

Super Sunday!

Hello all! I'm going back to school tomorrow so the craft posts should be coming in soon! :D

My Favorites this week:

This photography website show these Disney's UP inspired engagement photos. Ohmygosh they are amazingly beautiful and looks like so much fun to participate in!!

This is such a pretty way to have an herb garden in a small backyard! I think it looks beautiful on the house!

This print from Threadless is awesome! I love my bike and love the "infinity MPG" idea. :)

These socks are too cute!

This shelf from Urban Outfitter is so beautiful. But I would never pay $180 for it when you can just go thrifting and then paint it. :)

LINKS!
  • For people with a bit of a twisted sense of humor, Anti-Joke is a hilarious website with unusual takes on classic jokes. :)
  • I love reading about animals that adopt other baby animals. It shows how unconditional their love & kindness really is. Like this dog who found puppies and protected them.
  • 50 Pancake & Waffle Recipes. I <3 breakfast. :D

Not much this Sunday! I got a full 3 hrs of sleep last night so yes, I'm a little tired and doing this very late. :P

Product Review

If you read my post yesterday, you might remember me saying that I bought this:

Well, I just wanted to post about how AMAZING this stuff is! If you can't read it, this is 'Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream'. It's available at Target for $5.99. So...

Why do I LOVE this?
-It smells so good! Smells just like lemon-poppy seed muffins (my favorite treat!)
-It works magic on my cuticles! Keeps them so moisturized, even after being outside shoveling!
-It's a great price!
-It's all natural & doesn't test on animals!

So...yes. I love this product :D
(This is actually my first Burt's Bees product {besides Chapstick} What other products would you recommend?)

OH & I saw 'The Fighter' in theaters today with my brother after we shoveled & IT WAS AMAZING. Go see it. Seriously. :)

Shopping!

I actually did something 'blog-worthy'! (i think!) My life has been pretty dull right about now. I got a small job doing inventory in a museum store that requires me being out of the house from 8-6 and by the time I get home, I'm beat. AND I left all my craft supplies at the dorm so I won't be doing any craft posts until I go back (which is on the 17th) & it's also when I plan to start back up my etsy shop! WOO! I'll let you guys know when i post some products. OH anyways, the reason of this post is that I got some super awesomely spectacular things shopping (not thrifting) but my 2nd favorite shopping place TARGET! :)

CUPCAKE PLATES!

They came in sets of 2 & I couldn't decide between these so...I just got both! :) Now I have something beautiful to display my baked goods on for the blog.

PORTION PLATE! :D

First, I just want to express my love for portion plates. I love them. I love having my food separated for me on the plate so perfectly. Is that weird? Probably. ANYWAYS this little guy was just too cute from the doe to the trees so I had to get 2 (They were only $1 each!)

POPCORN CONTAINERS!

Perfect for movie nights! I love the retro look to them :) ($1 for 2)

BURT'S BEES & NAIL POLISH!
Hehe I don't know why I get so excited over this. But I do LOVE Burt's Bees and needed some cuticle cream & well, I don't NEED nail polish. But I sure do love them! & no, I didn't plan on buying a color that perfectly matched my blankie. :)

These I bought at Borders!

I have an owl bookmark-clip (my favorite!) and a smoothie recipe book (for $3.99). I LOVE my smoothies :D

<3 SPATULAS!
Heart spatulas in the dollar aisle at target. I couldn't resist :)

HEALTHY STUFF!
Jillian Michaels DVD (amazon) & I got vitamin in a powder (kind of like a shake/smoothie mix) because ever since my surgery this summer (tonsils out) I've had a really sensitive stomach and haven't been able to take big pills but I still want my vitamins! So this should help :)

GLOVES!
(Target)
I already have many gloves but I don't have any stripes and these were $1 for 2 gloves. SO of course, I got 2 packs :)
I don't know if you can tell by the picture but the right one is purple.
I haven't really gotten the hang of this camera yet. If I have the flash on, it whitewashes it, if I turn it off, it goes SUPER sensitive and turn blurry with the slightest movement of my hand. Outside pictures are fine, this problem is only with indoor. :( I have a Nikon Coolpix L110. Any suggestions?

When I was all done with my (attempted) photoshoot, I went to pick up my blanket to discover a kitty sleeping on it. So, I just wrapped her up. She didn't mind :)

Enjoy the rest of your week! :)

Super Sunday!

eek! So I'm just browsing through my blog feed and then I realize that it's Sunday. " *gasp* its Sunday! I forgot Super Sunday!" I was so busy this past week (as you could probably tell from my lack of existence in the blog world). :P So I quickly whipped up this post. Enjoy!

BakeItPretty has the cutest baking accessories and supplies and I wish I had a kitchen of my own to create masterpieces with their products! :D

This sleepy cloud shirt from sickforcute is so..well..cute!

This is a magnet! Theres different colors and although they might seem tacky, I think they're super cute. My memere actually has some very similar to this. Maybe she'll let me have some...

Best stamp set ever? I think so. I love Shanalogic! :)

This cat-designed house is AWESOME! :) I don't care, I'm so doing this to my future home. This article has more pictures about how serious Japan is about treating their pets like their own children (good!) and shows that this isn't so uncommon there!

I'm in love. (If ONLY this was an available paint job for the Ford Fusion Hybrid, one can only dream)

An old cabinet door used as a serving tray! How creative! :)

Links!
Make your own ceiling cat? Yes. I did this.
A recipe for Watermelon Pie (Sherbet) mmmmmm :)
I wouldn't doubt I would do this with my kitty. :D

Sorry this is so thrown together with only 1 1/2 hrs. left of Sunday. :P I'll try to be more efficient this week.

BTW!
I've seriously started a get healthy plan. I've revamped my diet and exercise and am religiously going to stick to it! I'll keep you up to date on my improvements. Because I WILL improve! :D

Peppermint Bark

I know it's a little late to do a Christmas-related post, but I wanted to share this recipe with you!

I made....

Peppermint Bark!

Review?
It was so yummy! It's also incredibly easy to make. Just 3 ingredients! (White chocolate, candy canes, and peppermint extract). I like it extra peppermint-y so I added a little extra extract and it was delicious! The recipe (which can be found here) yielded a lot of bark so I was able to give these jars as gifts to some people while still having some left overs for myself!

Alterations?
Next holiday season when I make this, I'm going to try using a different brand of candy canes. These tended to stick to your teeth when you bit into the pieces. I used Bob's but I'll experiment next December.

Success?
Yes! "Great Success!" :)
I will definitely make this again, it was so yummy & so easy!

Super Sunday!

This week I found:

This t-shirt? Amazing. That just about sums it up.

And speaking of mustaches...

Despite what the "Hollywood style judges" think, I still find him irresistible.

I think this dress from ModCloth is the perfect winter dress. With some blue tights from We Love Colors, this would be a drool-worthy outfit.

This.room.is.amazing.period. I love color and love this room.
It was an entry in a room color contest on Apartment Therapy. & it's called 'Janelle's "Viva La Femme" Room'. It was a finalist. I can see why.

This doormat = awesome.

These salt & pepper shakers are adorable :) Thank you Urban Outfitters!

Book Review

For Christmas, I got...

A Kindle!
(Thanks Santa!)

I absolutely love it! I do enjoy holding a book in my hand but the lowered price tag of $139 and the huge free and discounted ebookstore on amazon enticed me into this beauty of a product.
This will give me the chance to read many books that normally I wouldn't pick up. To start off, I decided to read Wish by Alexandra Bullen. It was a limited time deal on amazon for free! I read it in a day & just wanted to do a review it. I might start doing that with other books & movies.

Review

Wish by Alexandra Bullen
5/10
Wish was an entertaining book but nothing more than that. It was about a shy girl (Olivia) who moves to a new town (how original). Her twin sister had just passed and after meeting a magical-seamstress, wishes for her sister back. Her spontaneous sister turns into her life coach and changes her views on life and turns her into a social butterfly. The book was very predictable and obvious but all together, an entertaining book for a rainy day.

(What did you get for Christmas? Did anyone else read this book? If so, what are your thoughts?)
